INTRODUCTION
THE ARTT project stands out as a benchmark in sustainable urban rehabilitation in the heart of Lisbon. This historic building from the 1920s has been meticulously transformed into six luxury apartments, combining classic elegance with modern comfort.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Located at Rua General Taborda, 25, in Lisbon, THE ARTT offers apartments ranging from studios (T0) to two-bedroom units (T2). Each space has been designed to preserve the original architectural features, incorporating advanced solutions in energy efficiency and acoustic comfort. Residents enjoy high-efficiency HVAC systems, underfloor heating and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, ensuring an optimal indoor environment all year round.

SUSTAINABILITY AND EFFICIENCY

Committed to sustainability, THE ARTT has implemented various ecological measures:


  • A+ Energy Classification: Indicating minimum energy consumption and a lower environmental impact.
  • AQUA+ Water Certification: Recognizing excellence in efficient water management, through innovative technologies and sustainable practices.
  • Renewable Energy Systems: Including photovoltaic panels for collective self-consumption, reducing dependence on non-renewable energy sources.


   

SIBER VENTILATION SYSTEM


At THE ARTT, Siber mechanical ventilation systems with heat recovery (UVR) have been installed in the six homes in the project, ensuring a healthy and energy-efficient indoor environment. Four homes have the Evo1 solution, while the remaining two are equipped with Evo2.

The installed ventilation system offers significant advantages compared to conventional systems:

  • Optimised location: Siber ventilation units are installed in the false ceiling of the bathrooms, using anti-vibration hangers to minimise noise and vibration.
  • Thermal and acoustic insulation: The duct network is fully insulated, incorporating noise attenuators for extremely quiet operation 24 hours a day.
  • Indoor air quality: It guarantees a healthy environment 365 days a year, improving comfort and reducing energy consumption.
  • Intelligent control: The control system allows ventilation to be managed according to the occupancy of the home using an integrated control. In addition, it has an optional module for remote control through a mobile application.

    RECOGNITION

THE ARTT's excellence has been recognised at a national level, being a finalist in the 2025 National Real Estate Award, one of the most prestigious awards in the real estate sector in Portugal.

CONCLUSION

THE ARTT exemplifies how the rehabilitation of historic buildings can be harmonised with sustainability and contemporary luxury. This project not only revitalises an emblematic structure in Lisbon, but also sets a new standard in energy efficiency and eco-design in the Portuguese real estate market.
