Some requirements have changed to comply with the guidelines and regulations of the European Union regarding energy efficiency in buildings and international commitments regarding climate and energy. Additionally, another one of the modifications of the CTE after the publication of RD 732/2019 is that the energy efficiency requirements are updated to comply with the Directive 2010/31/EU, which stipulates that it is mandatory to carry out this review periodically.

What other modifications of the CTE after the publication of RD 732/2019 will need to be complied with?

  • A ventilated containment space
  • A ground depressurization system
  • Install detectors to measure the annual average concentration of radon in the air within the habitable spaces.
Additionally, it will be necessary to make modifications in the Basic Document DB-SI Fire safety, in the section on External Propagation, to adapt to the new demands regarding the external enclosures of buildings and energy efficiency.
