What is a Heat Recovery system?

An efficient operation for a clean and healthy home
Our systems work as follows:
- Extraction and renewal of air:The system extracts stale air from inside the building, coming from spaces such as kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms. This air is replaced with fresh air taken from the outside.
- Heat exchange:Before expelling stale air to the outside, it passes through a heat exchanger that transfers its thermal energy to the incoming fresh air. This allows the new air to reach a temperature close to that of the interior, optimizing energy savings.
- Air distribution:The preheated or cooled air is distributed within the home through a network of ducts connected to specific outlets or grilles.
- Filtration:The outside air is filtered before entering the system, eliminating pollutants and improving indoor air quality.
This system is especially efficient both in winter and summer, as it allows for maintaining a comfortable temperature and reducing energy consumption, adapting to different climate conditions. Moreover, it enhances well-being by reducing pollutants such as CO2, humidity, and other harmful particles.
Advantages of having a Heat Recovery system

Efficiency and comfort in every breath
Efficiency and comfort in every breathEnsures air quality through the extraction of stale air in humid areas (kitchen, bathrooms, etc.), combined with the supply of filtered new air in dry areas (living room, dining room, bedrooms, etc.).
How does it work?
The cold air from the outside crosses without mixing with the hot and stale air expelled from the interior. In this way, clean and tempered air is pushed into the home.
And what happens in summer?
In summer, the same process happens but in reverse, hot outside air crosses without mixing with the cold and stale air expelled from the interior.
What is the automatic By-Pass?
In the case when the outside air has a more pleasant temperature than the interior, as can happen on summer nights, the By-pass will activate automatically. This way, we will be renewing the air in the residence in a filtered and healthy manner.
The importance of breathing well
The quality of air in the home directly impacts our health and comfort. Daily activities such as cooking, using cleaning products, or living with pets generate stale air that, along with factors such as humidity, odors, or components of construction, affects overall well-being.
While conventional homes tend to present loaded and unhealthy environments, homes designed with efficient ventilation systems achieve clean air, free of pollutants and with optimized comfort.

The poor quality of air can have a significant impact on our health, especially in indoor spaces. This issue is associated with the Sick Building Syndrome, a condition recognized by the WHO in 1982, affecting buildings where more than 20% of people experience acute effects on their health and well-being. Complaints include symptoms expressed by the occupants due to indoor air quality. This condition is more common in airtight buildings, where symptoms disappear upon leaving the space.
To combat these issues, our double flow ventilation systems filter the outside air before introducing it indoors, eliminating more than 90% of harmful particles smaller than 1μm. The ISO 16890:2016 standard establishes more efficient filters.
Classification and Efficiency of Filters
Filters are classified according to their capacity to retain particles:
- G4 Filters (standard): Capture 40% of fine particles.
- F7 Filters: Eliminate 90% of bacteria and smaller particles.
- F9 Filters: Achieve 98% efficiency in smaller particles and 100% in pollen and spores.
This guarantees cleaner air, significantly reducing the presence of viruses, bacteria, mold, and other harmful particles that affect health.
To maintain good filter efficiency, it is recommended to change them every 4-5 months, ensuring that the indoor air is always filtered and healthy.
