Project Details

The house has been designed to obtain the Passivhaus Plus certification, the first in Catalonia. It is a single-family house of 176.95 m² distributed over two floors with a large garden.

It will be a paradigm of a healthy building: a healthy space with excellent air quality, a significant reduction of formaldehyde, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)...

To obtain this certification, the main façades have been resolved with a lightweight wood frame system over the main concrete structure, with 16 cm of rock wool insulation. Chestnut wood carpentry has been combined with triple glazing and argon gas in the chambers, as well as curtain walls with double-glazed windows and certified profiles. More than 80 dual-flow ventilation units with high-performance heat recovery and very different volumes depending on the various areas of the hotel have been installed.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the Bosque de Atocha project not only stands out for its 135 homes designed with BIM technology and certified with the Breeam Very Good rating, but also for its commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency. The integration of innovative solutions such as the dual-flow system with heat recovery, the selection of low-water-consuming plant species, and the recycling of rainwater, along with the use of materials with Environmental Product Declarations and on-site composting, demonstrate a holistic approach to reducing environmental impact and improving the quality of life of its residents. This project sets a new standard in sustainable residential construction, combining advanced technology with ecological practices to create a harmonious and efficient environment.
