In recent years, the construction sector has benefited from numerous technological innovations. These advancements have allowed, among other aspects, to improve ventilation systems installed in homes. In fact, today it is possible to know the air quality from a smartphone and even easily control the various parts of a ventilation system.
In this article, we address how technology has brought about a true revolution in its transformation and what the latest advancements in ventilation and digitalization are.
Ventilation Systems in the Face of Digital Transformation
Ventilation systems are vital for any building. Thanks to constant advancement and innovation, we currently have technologies that allow us to control their operation and know the status of the installation. In this regard, one of the most useful and functional tools is augmented reality. In fact, we can use it, for example, to know how to integrate ventilation systems with the rest of the house's structures. It also helps us better understand the aesthetic impact that the installation will have. At Siber, we use our own augmented reality software, which allows us to visualize the work in three dimensions before carrying it out.
Innovation to Improve Air Quality
As indicated by the World Health Organization, poor air quality is behind many non-communicable diseases. Therefore, our objective is to achieve optimal air quality, and one of the main ways to do this is by applying the available innovations in ventilation installations. In this regard, at Siber, we use key technologies explained below.BIM
We refer to BIM as the set of processes and methods used to collect and manage all information related to a building. To do this, a specific software is used, which enables the professionals involved in the construction and maintenance process to share their data.Innovative Applications
We also work with specific applications aimed at industry professionals and users of our systems. In this sense, our app EVO has been developed so that our clients can know and manage the air quality inside their spaces. Its interface is very intuitive and functional, allowing for easy control of the ventilation systems.Additionally, we have a certifications app, specifically designed for maintenance technicians to know the status of the system. Through it, it is possible to take real-time images and control and certify that it has been correctly installed in the home.
Sustainability and Energy Efficiency Through New Technologies and Innovation
We already know that ventilating different rooms in the home involves a drastic change in temperature. Recapturing it often requires turning on the air conditioning or heating again, resulting in additional costs. However, today we have sustainable installations that avoid energy waste.A good example is our double-flow mechanical ventilation system. This model is specifically designed to facilitate the exchange of energy between the incoming and outgoing air. In this way, the temperature inside the room is maintained.
As we have seen, innovation and the use of new technologies are a reality in the construction sector. Likewise, they have allowed for the implementation of many improvements in ventilation systems, which have become more efficient and sustainable. To learn more about this, we recommend consulting our article on BIM: Digitalization in the Construction Sector.
