Rebuild 2022 took place at the IFEMA Madrid venue at the end of April 2022, where the latest innovations in the architecture and construction sector were presented with the participation of Siber. This year's edition featured numerous projects and technologies based on BIM methodology systems, whose use is spreading in works of all kinds in both the public and private sectors.
Topics related to the construction of passive houses and the Passivhaus standard, a trend with increasing strength and presence in the sector that is increasingly favored by architects and construction companies, also took center stage. Passive buildings are characterized among other aspects by highly efficient thermal insulation, greatly increasing the benefits of efficient ventilation.
What is Rebuild?
It is one of the largest events in the construction sector at an international level, currently the most important in Spain. Annually it brings together leading companies in the sector as well as highly qualified professionals in different fields. In the 2022 edition, Rebuild had a large number of exhibitors as well as a series of high-level talks, presentations, and round tables. Specifically, this year more than 17,000 people attended with the participation of 372 Spanish companies and 581 international experts. The goal is to offer the public the most advanced technology, the most sustainable solutions and materials, industrialized and modular construction systems, and the most cutting-edge design.

Sustainable Technological Buildings
Ana Martín Ayala, National Coordinator of Management with Developers of Siber, participated together with Higinio Caro (Giacomini Spain), Antonio Escandell (Ten Brinke), and Julián Domínguez Huerta (CIP Architects) in the presentation where the foundations of a Sustainable Technological Building project were exposed in order to achieve a climate control and facilities in line with sustainability objectives and with the goal of minimizing costs both in the design phase and in construction. Other very interesting topics of discussion at this national fair of advanced architecture and construction 4.0 were:
- n t
- The need for digitalization as a necessary path to facilitate industrialization. n t
- The impact of blockchain in construction (as an information management infrastructure that allows maintaining traceability over constructions). n t
- The use of smart contracts on blockchain to ensure the payment of the companies participating in construction projects, as well as to ensure that materials and products matching those contracted are used. n t
- The use of tokens as a way to facilitate the financing of construction projects. n t
- The use of digital twins as a predictive tool to improve the quality of buildings and minimize errors. n
